Zoning, Mayor’s Office Space Expected on Commission Agenda

Mount Gilead Town Commissioners will meet tomorrow night, and some citizens are hoping to hear more about a proposal coming from the Zoning and Planning Board. A recent announcement says the board is suggesting “significant changes” to ordinances pertaining to business signage and landscaping, among other areas. Another topic that some hope to hear addressed is Mayor Patty Almond’s search for office space, which so far has been unsuccessful in the Police Department building and at the Art Center on Main Street. The Commissioners meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow at the Mount Gilead Public Library.
