The Troy Fire Department has released a report of its activity last year.
Troy firefighters answered 240 calls, for a total of nearly 2,000 man hours. 67 calls were wrecks, 20 were residential, 16 were woods or grass fires, and 10 were calls to local businesses or industries. The department received 52 false alarms during the year.
The total fire risk was almost $6,000,000, with an actual loss estimated at $83,000.
Last week, we reported that the Mount Gilead Fire Department responded to 134 calls during 2012, with a fire risk around $19,000,000, and an actual loss estimated of about $450,000.
