Town Commissioners in Biscoe, Candor and Star have meetings this evening.
In Biscoe, commissioners are expected to vote approval of a Montgomery County Board of Commissioners plan to incentivize economic development that results from job creation and capital investment by new and existing businesses. Commissioners also plan to swear in Brent Tedder as chief of police. Tedder has been serving as Biscoe police chief in an interim capacity.
In Candor, town officials will hold a public hearing on a proposed ordinance regarding household pets. The town consultant is recommending rules that require dogs to be on leashes. The ordinance would also limited to three the number of dogs or cats at any one residence. A caveat would provide a temporary exception for puppies or kittens.
