A Montgomery County man will serve more than six years in prison as the result of a plea agreement on charges of sexual offenses involving a child.
48-year-old Todd Barry Furr appeared in Montgomery County Superior Court Tuesday and pled guilty to second degree sexual offense. Judge Todd Burke handed down a sentence of 77 to 102 months.
Original charges filed in the case say Furr molested a nine-year-old girl who was a sleepover guest of Furr’s stepdaughter. The incident was said to have happened on March 30, 2010. A few days later, the victim told a teacher what had happened.
Public records show Todd Barry Furr has a criminal record dating back to 1981, with convictions on charges including driving while intoxicated, communicating threats, assault on a child, and the possession and sale of Schedule II narcotics. He was most recently released from prison last September after serving just over a year on drug charges.
