Fourth Festivities in Stanly County

Fourth of July festivities continue tonight in the Stanly County town of Oakboro. The popular festival has been a tradition for decades, and this year includes music, food and rides on the midway, plus fireworks displays on the Fourth and at the festival’s closing Saturday night. A scheduled is provided below this article.

Fireworks will also be featured on Lake Tillery near the Norwood Marina at dusk on the Fourth, and the town of Badin will welcome the 440th Army Band tomorrow for a concert of patriotic music starting at 7:00 p.m. and concluding with fireworks at Badin Lake on Hwy. 740 near the old Alcoa plant.
