Here’s some of what we’re talking about today on the air…
– The Montgomery County chapter of the NAACP will meet tonight. County schools superintendent Dr. Dale Ellis will be on hand to hear comments and concerns from parents and others, and everyone is welcome to attend. The NAACP meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Covington Missionary Baptist Church in Troy.
– Later this week, the Alzheimer’s support group will have its regular monthly meeting. The group is led by David Harper, and the program is set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Montgomery Senior Center on Page St. in Troy. Information is available at 910-572-4464.
– Folks in Candor are gearing up for a classic car cruise-in this coming weekend. There will also be live music, games and kids activities, and the event is scheduled for Sat., Sept. 28, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Park in Candor.
