The Montgomery County Board of Education will have its regular monthly meeting tonight (Nov. 4).

On the board’s agenda is a first reading of some proposed changes to the school system’s policy and regulations. More than 30 policy codes are affected, including parental involvement, school safety, graduation requirements, recruitment and selection of personnel and facility design. No action is expected on the first reading.

Among other items, board members will also hear a financial audit report and the most recent ACT (American College Testing) results from the Montgomery County Schools.

The Board of Education meets at 6:30 p.m. at the school system’s central office on Page St. in Troy. WMTG will have reports from the meeting through the rest of this week, and we will air a full rebroadcast of the meeting Sun., Nov. 10, at 9 p.m.
