Mount Gilead Town Commissioners met Tuesday night. Among the business they took up was the naming of a previously-unnamed street.
The street was originally designed as a u-shaped segment connecting to S. School St. on the north side of the laundromat and the south side of the Masonic Lodge. The only portion of the road currently in use is from the laundromat down behind the library and police station, turning right to a private shop building built last year by Bill Price.
Price petitioned the town to name the street Price Lane, and the commissioners adopted the name after a short public hearing Tuesday night.
A full rebroadcast of the Town Commissioners meeting can be heard on WMTG Sun., Apr. 13, at 9 p.m.
