Early voting underway for May 6 primary

Early voting has begun ahead of North Carolina’s May 6 primary elections.

130705_Vote_ButtonA moderate turnout was reported yesterday at both of Montgomery County’s one-stop early voting sites.

Locally, primary elections are deciding which Democrat and Republican candidates will advance to this fall’s general election for Montgomery County Sheriff and Clerk of Superior Court. There are also primary decisions being made for North Carolina Senate and House of Representatives.

Correcting information previously supplied to WMTG, early voting continues through May 3 at the Montgomery County Courthouse, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and at the Troy library Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Curbside voting is available at the courthouse. More details are available from the Board of Elections office at 910-572-2024.
