Foundation Chair Debby Barden said board members approved the designation of funds after hearing first-hand accounts of patients who had benefited from the rehab program, which serves people with chronic lung diseases such as COPD, lung cancer, emphysema, chronic bronchitis and asthma.

The hospital foundation’s spring event will be centered around the running of the Kentucky Derby and will include a live viewing of the horse race. The ticketed event will start at 5 p.m. this Saturday at the Haywood Event Center in Mount Gilead. More information is available at 910-572-5024.
