West Montgomery Schools have announced plans to offer free physicals for student athletes planning to participate in sports next school year.
The physicals are for middle and high school athletes, and they will be given Fri., May 23, at the FirstHealth School Health Center at West Montgomery High School.
Officials are reminding parents that this is the only opportunity to get the free physicals. There may be a charge of at least $25 to get a physical later in the year, or students may be required to see their own doctor for the examination.
Sports physical forms are available from athletic directors and coaches, and they must be signed in advance by parents or guardians.
Physicals will also be available at East Montgomery High School, but the date and time were not immediately clear. Information is available from middle and high schools in the county.
