Relay for Life to conduct season’s final ‘bank night’

130517_RelayForLifeLogoThe Montgomery County Relay for Life will have its closing bank night tonight (Jun. 9).

It’s the final reporting night for teams, as they turn in the last of the money they’ve collected in this year’s Relay.

The annual Relay celebration held May 16 at East Montgomery High School was the official culmination of the 2014 effort, but some funds have been collected since that date. Teams are expected to make their final reports at the meeting this evening at First Baptist Church in Troy.

As of late last week, 31 teams and 340 participants had raised $42,744.36 in Montgomery County’s Relay for Life, which helps support cancer research and treatment work by the American Cancer Society.
