Montgomery Board of Education hears about personnel changes

The Montgomery County Board of Education had its regular monthly meeting Mon., Jul. 14. Among items presented to the board was the monthly personnel report, including 11 teacher and staff resignations in the county effective during the summer break.

On the west side of the county, Communications Skills instructor Lee Ann Griffin and Health & Physical Education teacher Sean Thompson have left West Middle, and Social Studies teacher Eric Trail has resigned at West Montgomery.

In other personnel transitions, Jackie Jahns will now be working as a Media Specialist at both Mount Gilead and Green Ridge Elementary Schools. Angie Tofflemeyer is leaving her position as Assistant Principal at West Middle to become an Instructional Facilitator at Troy Elementary, and four new Teacher Assistants were named at Mount Gilead Elementary.

In all, more than 50 personnel transitions were reported.
