Log truck driver injured in eastern Montgomery County

The driver of a log truck was injured late this morning when his tractor-trailer turned over in eastern Montgomery County.

The Richmond County Daily Journal reported the accident occurred around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Pooles Mill and Windblow Roads, east of Candor and about a mile from the Richmond County line. State Troopers, FirstHealth paramedics and firefighters from Candor were among those who responded, and a rescue helicopter was summoned to transport the truck driver to the hospital.

There was no immediate word on the identity or condition of the injured driver. We will continue to follow the story.
