The open forum follows a directive from the VA Secretary, asking that each of its facilities host meetings to hear directly from veterans, family members and other beneficiaries. A spokesperson for the Veterans Administration said Congressional stakeholders, Veterans Service Organizations, non-governmental organizations and other community partners are also welcome.

The VA is asking veterans to refrain from discussing personal case information during the forum, but said there will be opportunities to address those issues before and after the meeting.

The forum will be Tuesday, 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. Seating is limited to 350 participants, and more information is available at 1-800-469-8262.
