Authorities investigate shooting near Wadeville

140114_Police_Lights_AbstractDetails are still unclear surrounding one and, possibly, two shootings near Wadeville, Tuesday morning, Nov. 18.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was unable to release details at last check, but WGHP-TV reported a suspect was taken into custody shortly before 8 a.m. near the intersection of Hwy. 109 and Pee Dee Rd.

Earlier eyewitness accounts say a domestic situation may have triggered the incident.

Unconfirmed reports say a second shooting may have occurred on McRae Cir., off Bruton-Carpenter Rd. Authorities have not confirmed the second shooting.

The incident caused West Montgomery schools are reported to be on a two-hour delay. We’ll have more details as they become available.
