Local non-profit organizations will host a “stuff the bus” drive Sat., Nov. 22, in Biscoe. The goal of the drive is to gather as many items as possible to help brighten the holidays for local children in need.
Organizers welcome gifts of all kinds, and there will be cards with the wish lists of specific children for those who prefer to do personal shopping.
803 children are included in this year’s Tree of Hope effort. According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the number represents more than 12% of all children in Montgomery County.
The collection drive will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 22 in front of Walmart in Biscoe, but donated items can come from any retailer. For more information, call Lynn Epps at Montgomery County Communities in Schools at 910-573-0974.
