24-year-old Lewis Rondez Pratt of Mount Gilead was arrested by Asheboro Police and placed in the Randolph County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond following the incident yesterday at Technimark Plant 3 on N. Fayetteville St. in Asheboro.

Police say Pratt is responsible for making the call Thursday morning that sent local police and fire crews to the scene and resulted in an evacuation of the plant and a full search of the facility, with assistance from the Randolph County Sheriff’s K-9 unit and a bomb-sniffing dog from the Candor Police Department.

An investigation at the scene led police to Lewis Pratt, who was arrested at the scene. Pratt was scheduled for a first appearance this morning in Randolph County District Court.
