Here is the latest likely snowfall forecast map from the US National Weather Service office in Raleigh. Forecasters say most of Montgomery County is expected to receive 4 to 5 inches of snow, though the range is 1 to 10 inches. The northernmost part of the county may get more.
Remember, a Winter Storm Warning is in effect now through 7 p.m., Sat., Jan. 9, and this system will be followed by bitter cold temperatures, including lows around 11 Saturday night and about 6 Sunday night. Please take precautions, provide shelter for outdoor pets, and keep check on elderly and disabled neighbors and relatives.
