Latest snowfall forecast from NWS

stormtotalsnowweb1Here is the latest likely snowfall forecast map from the US National Weather Service office in Raleigh. Forecasters say most of Montgomery County is expected to receive 4 to 5 inches of snow, though the range is 1 to 10 inches. The northernmost part of the county may get more.

Remember, a Winter Storm Warning is in effect now through 7 p.m., Sat., Jan. 9, and this system will be followed by bitter cold temperatures, including lows around 11 Saturday night and about 6 Sunday night. Please take precautions, provide shelter for outdoor pets, and keep check on elderly and disabled neighbors and relatives.
